All of the board members would like to thank everyone that showed up for the spring into golf season party on Saturday, April 4th. It was the most successful spring party we have ever had and we generated some new members that evening. Thankfully the blizzard warning we were advised of never quite materialized. That was a very busy day at the course as we also picked up many branches that were previously cut down. Special thanks to George Lawman, Tommy Lawman, Brett Bianchi, Rusty Caquelin, Larry Freese and Todd Partlow in completing that project. We have the potential for a very nice bon fire some evening this summer.

Getting back to the party, I would like to list the winners of door prizes and the corresponding businesses that donated them. We really appreciate the support as having this drawing really encourages members to get their memberships taken care of. Members had to have at least 1/2 of their membership paid to qualify for the drawing. Remember 1/2 of membership must be paid by May 1st and the remainder by July 1st. This includes any fees for cart storage rental as well. We will be doing a much better job this year of monitoring the storage sheds.

Our first tournament of the year will be coming up on Sunday, April 26th with a two person best shot. As with all of our tournaments this year, it will have a noon shotgun start. This is a nice prelude tournament considering that league will once again be a two person best shot format. A sign up sheet is posted on the league bulletin board near the computer in the clubhouse. Rules for the format are also posted. You do not have to be a member to participate in league. A special $5.00 green's fee will be in place for the 9 holes played for league each week. If there are any questions relating to league feel free to contact me.

Before we know it Friday Couples Night will be firing up again in May. Every Friday Couples Night in May is open golf. Even if you live here in Manson you do not have to be a member to play that evening. A special $10.00 per couple fee will apply to those non members. That will take care of your green fees and fun money for that evening. I know everyone is pretty busy in May, but take the opportunity to come out and give the evening a try. It is a great night to socialize with friends and new friends to be.

Also remember that first time members at our course can take advantage of 50% off your membership. What a great way to get you and your family involved in such a great sport.
